Unveiling Benoy’s vision for New Delhi
Benoy’s vision for a masterplan of the Rajpath in New Delhi is a sensitive re-imagination of the Rajpath, one of the most important vistas in India.
The New Delhi Masterplan envisages new cultural areas, greater connections to nature, and new government buildings for the area.
The Benoy approach centres on a number of key elements, including connection of the Rajpath to the banks of the Yamuna river, creating a distinct hierarchy of streets and spaces that frees the Rajpath of traffic, and introduction of new green and cultural spaces.
