About CMA


Cement Manufacturers’ Association (CMA), established in 1961, is the apex body of large cement manufacturers in India. CMA acts as a bridge between Indian Cement Industry and the Government. It creates a conducive Environment to promote industry, through advice and consultation. It closely works with Government, various Regulators on policy issues, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness, growth and development opportunities for Indian cement industry. It articulates the genuine, legitimate concerns and interests of the cement industry along with an objective to protect the consumer interests and to identify newer applications of cement usage. With its Registered Office in New Delhi and the Corporate Office at Noida, CMA has two Branch Offices – at Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Its mission is to impact the policy and legislative environment so as to foster balanced economic, industrial and social development in the country. CMA has been particularly active in the areas of Energy Efficiency, Environment-Friendliness, Sustainability Standards and Techno-economically superior cement concrete roads.

To attain its objectives, CMA has been organizing/supporting Seminars on varied subjects and bringing out technical publications. Currently, CMA has been engaged in networking with BEE to facilitate implementation of Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT) Scheme; and Partnering with IIP towards increasing AFR Usage in Cement Industry, among other things. CMA has also joined hands with World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) as a ‘Communication Partner’ for Cement Sustainability Initiative (CSI) in India.

CMA is well recognized both in India and abroad for its activities and services.
