Cages made of plastic offer the optimal conditions for keeping animals. The long experience in the development and production makes our cages due to the used materials in shaping and handling to important and indispensable components of modern animal husbandry.

Throughout the development of plastics we added heatresistant materials to our portfolio:

  • polysulfone / PSU, autoclavable to 134° C
  • polyetherimide / PEI, autoclavable to 143° C
  • polyphenylsulfone / PPSU, autoclavable to 143° C

As early as the 1960s we had been producing cages made of polycarbonate (PC), especially the best proven Makrolon no. 3108. Polycarbonate is transparent, impact-stable and autoclavable to 121°C.
