Dr. Kath Williams has a diverse background in sustainability and high performance building standards—from sustainability master plans for neighborhood development and infrastructure, new/renovation construction projects, to operations and maintenance plans and policies. Since founding Kath Williams + Associates in Bozeman, Montana in 1999, Kath has worked on over 97 high performance building projects including 23 international projects. She is very proud of having been on the team that completed the CII-Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre, Hyderabad ITC Green Centre, Gurgaon Paharpur Business Centre, Delhi. Dr. Kath was the early faculty member for IGBC, presenting workshops across India and training Indian green building faculty. She supported the founding of the Indian Green Building Council and served as a board advisor. In 2013, she was honored to be the first inductee into the India Green Building Hall of Fame. Drawing on her experiences as Assistant to the Vice President of Research at Montana State University, Kath began her work in sustainability as Executive Director of MSU’s EPIcenter project, which grew to be the foundation for the Living Building Challenge. In 2014 she was one of eight to be named “Living Building Hero.” Her volunteer services included Vice Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council for six years and elected President/Vice Chair of Board of World Green Building Council for three terms. In 2011, she received Chairman's Award from WGBC.
