Working Experience:

  • Adjunct faculty teaching the regular course “State of the Art of Hazardous Chemicals Management” and supervision of Master and PhD students. Regional research in South East Asia – Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Faculty for Environmental Engineering and Management, School of Environment, Resources and Development, Thailand
  • Special Advisor & Senior Scientist, technical assisting and applying R&D in international projects in SINTEF
  • Research Director managing and administrating research & project activities in Environmental Technology, i.e. project design and development, customer relations, quality assurance, marketing, planning, manning, recruitment and personal administration, budgeting and economy, reporting etc in SINTEF Environmental Technology
  • Having been working globally with Circular Economy & Resource Efficiency for 30 years. One of the pioneers in Co-processing & treatment of wastes in resource and energy intensive industry
  • Having tested and documented the possibilities of using local cement kilns for destruction of hazardous organic chemicals in many countries (also in Vietnam) and been instrumental in developing regulatory frameworks and guidelines for numerous Governments, UN-bodies and international organisations
  • Having been instrumental in implementing co-processing practice in several Asian countries; for example, working with the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment since 2005 and with the Indian Central Pollution Control Board and the Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change since 2010.
  • Having published crucial R&D findings on the possibilities and limitations of co-processing of wastes with >100 peer reviewed publications, author of several books and book-chapters, >300 scientific reports and >200 oral presentations at scientific conferences.
