Amir Safaei holds an MBA from the University of Glasgow (UK), and Ph.D in sustainable energy systems from University of Coimbra (Portugal) and Massachusetts Institutive of Technology (MIT) in USA. During his PhD studies, he has gained valuable knowledge and practical experience in LCA methodology. Amir’s expertise lies into lifecycle assessment (LCA) methodology and its application. He has worked on research and industrial projects related to LCA. Currently, Amir is the Project Manager Internationalisation of the ecoinvent Centre, provider of the world's leading database of consistent and transparent life cycle inventory (LCI) data. Amir focuses on evolving ecoinvent into a dynamic global LCI database, and ensures its future international development, especially in emerging markets such as Brazil, Egypt, India and South Africa. |
