With over 38 years of industrial/professional experience, he is an expert in Research and Development, Environmental & Sustainability Management, CSR, EcoDesign, ISO-14001, Occupational Health & Safety systems and audits. His past experience includes –National Coordinator for Environment, Energy and OH&S in India, National Sustainability Coordinator in India, and Regional Sustainability Coordinator for the Asia Pacific region for a multinational corporation. Dr. Ramakrishnan holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry & Physics (from IISc, Bangalore) and another Ph.D. in Environmental Management (from the University of Pune). He was a post-doctoral Research Associate at the Wayne State University, Detroit, USA, in 1979-80. He is also a registered Principal Environmental Auditor (IEMA, UK), a Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (UK) & Chartered Environmentalist (UK). Dr. Ramakrishnan is closely involved in the environmental activities of CII – Godrej GBC.
