RUDOLF PIENAAR: Director of the Office Sector of Growthpoint, with a portfolio value of R32.5 billion. Rudolf is also a Director of Acucap Properties Limited and Sycom Property Fund Managers Limited. Rudolf has 30 years’ experience in the property industry and has been a member of senior management of five listed property companies. He has been a Director of management companies of Barprop, Primegro and currently Growthpoint. Rudolf also serves on the Property Committee of the prestigious R17.4 billion Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town. Won the MSCI/Financial Mail Listed Property Investment Award twice for the best performing Office Portfolio, as well as the best performing Industrial Portfolio. He has been part of the Growthpoint development team that developed in excess of R7.5 billion of developments, and won SAPOA awards for Innovative Excellence in Property Development in respect of Office, Industrial and Mixed Use developments. Rudolf has been at the forefront of sustainable development at Growthpoint, who won the 2013 SAPOA Overall Award for Sustainability and the 2014 and 2015 Innovative Merit Award. Growthpoint is the proud recipient of the Nedbank Capital Sustainable Business Award in the category Infrastructure and Renewable Energy for the years 2013 and 2014. Growthpoint won the prestigious LUX International Project of the Year award in 2014. Growthpoint currently owns 67 green office buildings, certified by the GBCSA, at a total value of R13.2 billion. Rudolf is Chair of the Green Building Council of South Africa, Director of the World Green Building Council and serves on the Advisory Board of the Department of Construction Economics at the University of Pretoria.
