Tony Lee Luen Len, social entrepreneur, changemaker, founded the Green Building Council of Mauritius in 2009 – 2nd Council in Africa. His expertise lies in the field of sustainability, the built environment and multi-sector collaboration. He is a chartered quantity surveyor, project manager and an accredited partnership broker. He is also an accredited professional/assessor in several green building rating systems. Professionally, his firm Ecosis is currently involved with several large scale projects, including the first BREEAM Communities certified smart city project in Africa. The other to note is a development project focussed on the wellbeing of the individuals and its community, a living lab, which host a social innovation hub. Tony has contributed on regulatory, policy and strategy work locally and internationally for UN-Habitat, World GBC, UNEP, and the Government of Mauritius. Tony has won several awards for his work.
